Candidates will be granted four hours to complete the 100 multiple choice question CQI Exam. The test is administered at computer-based testing centers located nationwide. After having an application approved, candidates will be able to schedule their exam at a convenient testing center location.
The CQI exam fee runs $165 for ASQ members or $335 for all others. The exam is only available during select days. Candidates need to ensure they have applications filed prior to deadlines or a $50 fee will be imposed. The certification lasts for three years, at which point candidates will need to recertify in order to keep their credential.
Candidates can bring calculators for use during the test. However, the calculator can only have numbers and symbols, not an alphabetical keypad.
